Andrew Russell

Andrew's car is a 2.0 16v Vauxhall car, built in 1995. Engine has twin 45DCOEs, Omega pistons, Kent cams and verniers, supposedly putting out about 205 bhp, and was built by B & J Engines of Manchester. It has been used as a road car and occasionally for sprints and hillclimbs, though pressures of work and family preclude it getting as much exercise as I would like!!

Andrew was originally a founding member of the Merseyside and District Area and competed at Aintree, Three Sisters etc. Now, having moved across the Pennines he get's to drive at Harewood and Croft, and attend either the Pennine meetings or the newly formed East and North Yorkshire Group.

Andrew's love of the Seven goes back to 1971 when, whilst just a spotty nosed 18 year old, he first drove a Series 3 and fell instantly in awe of it. The dream was realised in the mid 90's when he could not resist the temptation any longer......he's been broke ever since, but very content!
